Windsor police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a unique bronze sculpture that was stolen Wednesday.

Police say the theft occurred from a car parked in a driveway on Partington Ave. sometime between the evening of Aug. 8 and the morning of Aug. 9.

The art piece is a bronze sculpture titled “Cultural Mosaic.” It weighs about nine kilograms and stands approximately 45 centimetres tall.

It was created by Becky Lisk, a graduate from the University of Windsor.

She tells CTV Windsor it took about four months to make.

"It's a really long process and learning experience at the same time," says Lisk. "It's one piece that I was really excited to start showing in galleries. It's something I can't replace."
