The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office, Essex Fire and Rescue and OPP are investigating after a weekend fire in Colchester, Ont.

Investigators could be seen carrying charred furniture out of the home in the 60 block of Draper Street on Monday.

Emergency crews were called the home around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire, but a witness reportedly told police he saw two men leaving the home with garbage bags before the fire broke out.

Fire crews also allege that an accelerant was used.
