A 32-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving after his vehicle allegedly collided with a parked car.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Drouillard Road on Monday at about 9:50 p.m.
Officers say a 2004 Jeep Cherokee with extensive damage to the passenger side was sitting on the front lawn. A 2013 Dodge Journey on the road had extensive damage to the driver's side.
Police say the owner of the Journey was parked on the road waiting for his son to finish swimming lessons, when his vehicle was sideswiped by the Jeep Cherokee.
Witnesses at the scene pointed out the driver of the Cherokee to police.
The 32-year-old man was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court. He faces charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding the legal alcohol limit.
Both vehicles were towed away because of extensive damages.
