A Merlin man is facing impaired driving charges after OPP officers say he was weaving across the centre line and travelling exceptionally slow.
Lakeshore OPP pulled over the 18-year-old on Saturday at 3 a.m. on Essex County Road 22 near Diesbourg Boulevard in Lakeshore. Officers say he was travelling 34 kilometres under the posted speed limit.
The pickup attempted to make a U-turn before it was stopped by police. Officers say the driver of the vehicle exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested and charged.
Connor Pillon, 18, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mgs of blood alcohol content.
He will appear in a Windsor court on Sept. 12.
