A fire in Tilbury Friday caused massive damage to a home.
The Chatham-Kent fire department said the fire started in an area outside the house, at 14 Pearl St., where recyclables were kept.
When crews arrived to the home around 2:30 p.m., flames were shooting through the roof.
Damage to the house was estimated at $180,000 damage.
The fire department is reminding the public to replace smoke alarms that are more than 10 years old.
