Windsor police are actively investigating the city's third homicide of 2019.

Police confirmed Thursday that the discovery of a dead body at a home at 628 Mill St. is now a murder investigation.

Patrol units first responded to the west end residence for a report of suspicious death just after 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police are not releasing the cause of death or identity of the victim.

Investigators are seeking any information in respect to this case.

This is the third murder investigation in Windsor this year, after there were ten murder cases in 2018.

Two parents – a 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man – were charged in early June after the death of their baby. The family lived in a home in the 100 block of McKay Street.

Gerardine Butterfield, 63, was also found dead in her apartment at 591 Wellington Ave. in May. There are no suspects in that investigation.
