Harrow woman charged with impaired driving

A 40-year-old Harrow woman was charged with impaired driving after police say she was serving across the road.
Essex County OPP pulled over the woman on Saturday at 1:50 a.m. in Kingsville. Police say they say a black 2001 Honda Accord travelling southbound on Essex County Road 50 from Essex County Road 20 travelling at a speed higher than the posted limit.
Officers say the vehicle also swerved off the paved roadway and crossed the yellow centerline several times.
The vehicle was stopped by police and police say the driver exhibited signs of impairment.
Margaret Friars, 40, of Harrow was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mgs of blood alcohol content.
She will appear in a Windsor court on Sept. 24.
