The Windsor and Essex County Grow On campaign was a success, despite Movember donations slipping across Canada.

The 2015 campaign, administered by the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation, raised $219,545 in support of local prostate cancer patients and their treatment.

“The key word that makes us different – local,” says Houida Kassem, director of development for the foundation. “We want to make sure that the funds raised in support of searching for a cure and treating this horrible disease are being used right here, in our home town.”

The national campaign went from $24 million in 2014, to just over $14 million in 2015.
