The Ontario Summer Games started Thursday across Windsor, bringing athletes from all over the province to the Rose City.

In total, 2,500 participants are descending on Windsor to take part in 19 different sports. This includes archery, baseball, fencing, sailing, and soccer.

The first event was Thursday morning, ahead of the opening ceremony at the University of Windsor’s Alumni Field.

Danielle Wade and The Walkervilles headlined the ceremony, which was free to the public.

Events got into full swing Friday morning – and carry all the way to late Sunday afternoon.
