Funeral arrangements have been made for a 3-year-old boy killed in a hit-and-run crash in Windsor.

Kevin Eh Say died on Monday night after he was hit by a van on Wyandotte Street near Bruce Avenue.

A visitation is scheduled for the Windsor Chapel funeral home at 1700 Tecumseh Road from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

A funeral service for Kevin Eh Say will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday July 10 at the Ambassador Baptist Church on Manchester Road. A visitation at the church will be held prior at 9:30 a.m. for family and friends.

The three-year-old boy is remembered by his family as a photogenic little spider-man who was cheerful, loved to sing and was helpful.

A fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family cover funeral expenses.

The website says the family escaped genocide and arrived here 11 years ago as refugees. The father K'nyaw eh is a farm worker in Leamington, he works 12-hour days caring for vegetables. 

The post says the boy’s sisters “were at the scene of the crime and are going to need significant support.”

Over $7,200 US was raised, as of 3 p.m. Friday. The goal was to raise $1,000.  

Kenneth Dawson, 56, of Windsor is charged in connection with the crash. He has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
