OPP are investigating after a four-vehicle crash that shut down the E.C. Row Expressway at Matchette Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened in the westbound lanes shortly after 2 p.m., sending two people to hospital and closing the highway for several hours.
Investigators say it appears that the collision is a result of a chain reaction involving all four vehicles.
Two people - including a two-year-old - were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road re-opened before 4 p.m.
Essex County OPP say the collision is still under investigation and charges are pending.
