A Windsor festival is getting $45,000 as part of provincial funding announced on Monday.

The Fork and Cork Festival is the only Windsor-Essex event included in the $15.3-million funding announcement made by Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Michael Coteau.

"I’m proud that through Celebrate Ontario, our government continues to support this vibrant sector,” said Coteau in a news release. “Our investment will help festivals and events offer new and expanded experiences that will support local economic growth, create jobs and draw tourists to communities across the province."

There are 200 festivals and events across the province including in the announcement.

The Fork and Cork Festival runs July 8-10 at the Riverfront Festical Plaza.
