Four firefighters were taken to hospital after a firetruck responding to an emergency call was struck by a vehicle in south Windsor.

The firetruck was eastbound on Cabana Road at Dougall Avenue when it was struck by a northbound van.

The four firefighters and the driver of the van were all transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The intersection is controlled by a stoplight, but an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The truck was responding to a collision nearby where Windsor police say a cyclist suffered minor injuries.

There is no impact to service expected due to the crash.

No charges have been laid at this time.
