Windsor fire officials are investigating a blaze that severely damaged a home on Norman Road.

Around 3:30 Saturday afternoon, crews were called to 1444 Norman Rd.

Once on scene, they discovered fire shooting from the second floor and the attic of the house.

The blaze was knocked down in about an hour.

No injuries were reported.

Faulty electrical wiring has been listed as the cause.

Damage is pegged at $250,000.

A neighbouring home suffered $20,000 in damage as well.

A dog was saved but a cat died in the fire.
