Essex County OPP have released the name of a 45-year-old Essex man who died after a collision with a dump truck.
Jeffrey Cincurak was pronounced dead at the scene. The three-vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Essex County Road 46 and County Road 23 around 9:10 a.m. Thursday.
Police say through investigation it appears that he made a left turn directly into the path of the eastbound dump truck. A smashed up PT Cruiser could be seen at the crash site on Thursday.
A third vehicle, a car, was in the ditch with airbags deployed, but minimal damage. The driver of that vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.
County Road 46 at County Road 23 and County Road 23 northbound at South Middle Road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
