An Essex County OPP constable has been ticketed after a collision on Highway 401 last week.
OPP investigated the incident that took place on Aug. 14 in the eastbound lanes of the 401 near French Line in Lakeshore.
The investigation revealed that the officer was on route to a call for service. Police say his fully marked police cruiser struck another eastbound vehicle traveling in the centre lane in front of the cruiser.
Though there was some damage to both vehicles, no one was injured.
Const. Milje Matovksi has been issued a provincial offence notice for fail to turn out to the left to avoid collision, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The officer is a six-year member of the Essex County OPP detachment.
