Essex County OPP officers arrested two men with impaired driving charges over the Victoria Day long weekend.
The first incident took place Sunday morning at 3:00 a.m. Lakeshore OPP got a call about a white Chevrolet pickup truck travelling eastbound on Highway 401 at the Dougall Parkway ramp.
Officers found the vehicle exiting the 401 at Essex County Road 25 in Lakeshore.Police say he failed a roadside breath test.
Richard Tomicic, 35, was arrested and charged with exceed 80 mgs of blood alcohol content.
In the second case, Leamington OPP officers on patrol say a red Chevrolet Malibu going eastbound on Setterington Street failed to stop at a stop sign at Wigle Street.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle, which then bumped a curb and continued approximately 100 metres before coming to stop in a driveway on Wigle Street.
Police say the 38-year-old Leamington man showed signs of impairment when he exited the vehicle.
Johan Fehr was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mgs of blood alcohol content.
