Employees at Amherstburg's Diageo bottling plant have ratified a new agreement.

They voted 84.1% in favour of the three-year contract.

The Unifor Local 2098 ratification meeting was held Sunday morning at the Macedonian Centre.

Diageo, which bottles Crown Royal, has committed to investing $10-million into the facility.

Local president DJ Lacey says the 261 employees were able to win a measure of job security.

The agreement also saw 110 buyouts for senior employees.
