A section of Highway 401 eastbound was closed near Comber Friday morning after a tractor trailer’s lost wheel hit another car.
Essex County OPP officers say it happened at about 10:45 a.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes between the Comber exit and the eastbound service centre.
The tractor trailer was travelling eastbound when it lost a wheel, which in turn hit another car travelling in the same direction.
Both drivers are reporting minor injuries. The driver of the car was taken to hospital in Chatham.
The road was closed to remove debris, but was reopened around 12:15 p.m.
