Officials in Lakeshore are still sorting through what’s left of a Puce Road home, after a fire consumed the property Sunday.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office, Lakeshore fire, OPP and Union Gas spent most of Monday trying to determine what caused fire at 189 Puce Rd. The blaze broke out around 11 a.m., while the family was at the Adventure Bay water park.

According to fire Chief Don Williamson, there was a loud bang minutes before the $400,000 house was fully engulfed.

Williamson says cold temperatures have hampered the investigation and with more wintry weather on the way, it could take days for the investigation to wrap up.
