An accounting analyst in Chatham-Kent has been accused of defrauding a company of $334,000.

Police say an employee at Dana Canada Corp. used company credit cards to withdraw cash or purchased money orders and altered the carbon copy to show payment to valid vendors, while the originals were actually made payable to herself or her husband.

Stephanie Bellamy, 30, from Chatham has been arrested and charged with fraud and more than a 100 counts each of forgery and utter forged documents.

Jeffrey Bellamy, 45, of Chatham was also arrested and charged with one count of fraud over $5,000.

Both were released pending a future court date of Nov. 8.
