A Chatham mom is upset after discovering a needle in one her daughter's Halloween chocolate bars.
Katie Abrantes found part of the needle sticking out of a snickers bar on Wednesday when she was inspecting the candy. She called authorities immediately.
Abrantes says she took her children trick or treating in the area of Queen Street, Tweedsmuir Avenue, Lacroix Street and Park Avenue.
Chatham-Kent Police are reminding everyone to thoroughly check all Halloween Candy before allowing their children to indulge.
Residents are advised to dispose any needles found in the proper manner, or contact the Police Service at 519-436-6600 ext 222 for further information.
Police in London also received a report of a needle found inside a chocolate bar Tuesday night.
The child was not hurt.
