A Chatham man is facing child pornography charges, following a two month investigation.

The Chatham-Kent police internet child exploitation unit got involved in the child pornography investigation in July and August of 2014.

On Tuesday, officers attended a residence on Thames Street and executed a search warrant. Officer seized a laptop, two desktop computers, an external hard drive and several external storage devices.

The 63-year-old was arrested and charged with accessing child pornography, possessing child pornography, and making child pornography available.

The accused has been released from police custody on the promise to appear in court.
