Charges have been laid against both drivers after a two-vehicle crash that sent five people to hospital, including a Windsor woman who was ejected from a minivan.

The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit has completed their investigation into the crash at the intersection of Winterline Road and Maple Line last Tuesday, Oct. 29.

A Honda Odyssey minivan with eight people inside was southbound on Winterline Road when it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was westbound on Maple Line. 

Four people in the minivan were treated and released, while a 54-year-old Windsor woman who was ejected was airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Her condition has since improved and she is now listed in stable condition.

The driver of the pickup, Robert Foreman, 31, of Lakeshore Road in Comber has been charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.

The driver of the minivan, Patrick McCann, 43, of Janette Avenue in Windsor has been charged with driving while under suspension and obstructing police. 

The owner of the minivan, a 47-year-old Windsor man has been charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive a motor vehicle.
