A driver is facing charges after a tractor-trailer rollover on Highway 401 near Kenesserie Road early Thursday morning.

Chatham-Kent OPP were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m. for a report of a rollover.

A police investigation found that a tractor-trailer that was travelling eastbound on the 401 when it drove into the median, lost control and rolled.

The rig, which was loaded with 25,000 pounds of auto parts, came to rest on its side in the median, partially blocking the passing lane.

The driver, 48-year-old Vasilije Jeftic of Windsor, Ont. was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has also been charged with careless driving.

The passing lane on the eastbound 401 was closed until shortly after the noon hour while crews offloaded the tractor-trailer and cleaned up the collision scene.
