Drug charges were withdrawn against an Amherstburg couple in the largest cocaine bust by Windsor police.

Lawyers for Todd and Amy Windibank successfully argued a search warrant of their home was based on evidence discovered at two other locations.

The pair were charged in June 2010 after half a million dollars worth of cocaine, four handguns and more than $20,000 were discovered.

Justice Joe Quinn ruled evidence against the Windibanks should be withdrawn. The crown has 30 days to appeal.

Douglas McNorton has already been convicted and sentenced to five years for the crime.

Charges against two other women were withdrawn.
