A Brampton driver is charged with stunt driving, after allegedly registering a speed of 175 km/hr on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.

According to police, a Chatham-Kent OPP officer was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 401 near Communication Road on Dec. 13, when the officer registered an eastbound BMW at a speed of 175 km/hr.

Officers have charged 23-year-old Faris Zahid of Brampton with racing a motor vehicle, following too closely and obstruct number plate.

The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.
