Charges have been laid after a robbery at a Windsor Tim Hortons.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. Sunday at the restaurant on Wyandotte St. east an Walker Rd.

Police say a suspect entered the restaurant, approached the employee at the front counter, handed over a note demanding money and threatening he had a weapon.

The employee opened the till and the suspect took a quantity of money and left the store.

A complainant was assaulted when trying to stop the suspect.

Police say around 1:45 a.m. Monday, a suspected turned himself in at Windsor Police Service headquarters.

Jordan Kuchmistrz, 19, is charged with two counts of robbery.
