An engineering firm has determined the cause of the structural steel collapse at the University of Windsor.
The report from the firm in Guelph has found that temporary bracing was not used to secure the columns. High winds also contributed to the collapse.
Newton Parking Structures was the contractor to the new Innovation Centre and parking structure at the university.
A subcontractor for Newton was responsible for erecting the steel beams.
Officials at newton say they're continuing to work with the Ministry of Labour.
