Employees of Caesars Windsor took part in a strike authorization vote Sunday at the Coboto Club.
The bargaining committee from Unifor 444 wants to get a collective agreement by April 4th.
"By connecting with them and hearing some of the concerns and going through the strike authorization vote, we're showing the company that we are serious about the demands we put forward and saying these things have to happen to get a collective agreement for us to be happy with bringing it back to our members as something they can respect and pass," says president Dino Chiodo, Local 444 president.
More than 300 employees voted throughout the day and another vote will be held Sunday evening.
The bargaining committee says this is an opportunity to connect with membership about their priorities and concerns.
They range from wages, working standards, pensions and benefits and contracting out language.
