LaSalle town council is looking at a proposed budget with no tax increase.

Budget deliberations are scheduled to take place on Thursday and Friday.

Mayor Marc Bondy tells CTV Windsor he’s happy with the recommendation for a zero per cent increase, since it was one of his platforms in the election campaign.

“People have had enough,” says Bondy. “Everything is going up. Every time you go somewhere it's going to cost you more so it's nice to hopefully hold that now.”

Bondy admits the budget has not been finalized, but he hopes to pass a zero per cent budget.

“We don't know what's coming down the pipe but right now we're going to have to hold that hopefully at zero or less than zero this year.”

LaSalle town council approved a one per cent tax increase in 2018.
