Windsor police are investigating after three elementary schools were broken into Monday night.

Officials say principal offices were trashed at the schools.

St Gabriel, St. John Vianney and Mount Carmel were broken into.

At St Gabe's, a bench was used to smash the door.

“It looked like a big piece of cement and then I realized it was our beloved bench,” says Zina Vivier, St. Gabriel principal.

It was a memorial for Karen Drago, a former principal who died of cancer.

“Karen did a lot for this school, one of her things was she wanted the track, she had a vision and made it happen,” says Vivier.

Officials say it doesn't appear anything was taken.
