Ambassador Bridge officials say barriers have now been installed on the Canadian approach of the Ambassador Bridge.

“While we wait for the ‘green light’ from Transport Canada to begin construction of the new Ambassador Bridge second span, nearly 5,000 ft. of Zoneguard barriers have now been installed on the Canadian approach of the Ambassador Bridge,” said Ambassador Bridge president Dan Stamper in a statement.

Stamper said in addition to new curbing, railing, lighting and pavement rehabilitation, which have been on-going since 2013, the Zoneguard barriers were installed to improve safety of the construction workers and the traveling public.

“We would like to thank the customers of the Ambassador Bridge for their patience and adherence to traffic directions to accommodate the accelerated installation schedules,” said Stamper.
