Snowboarders showcase skill at provincial Slopestyle series

Mount St. Louis Moonstone staff are busy preparing for some of Ontario’s top snowboarders to arrive.

The legendary Junkyard Terrain Park at Mount St. Louis Moonstone was alive with skill and excitement on Saturday.

Snowboarders from across the region showcased their best tricks in Ontario’s Provincial Slopestyle series.

The event featured athletes of all ages, including a seasoned competitor who has been perfecting her craft since she was young. “I’ve been competing since I was seven, so I just keep going. I love coming here to see my friends from different clubs,” the competitor shared.

Slopestyle series The Junkyard Terrain Park at Mount St. Louis Moonstone was alive with skill and excitement for Ontario’s Provincial Slopestyle series on Jan., 11, 2025.

The Slopestyle competition highlights athletes performing acrobatic tricks on snowboards, demonstrating their balance and creativity.

“All of these athletes are very talented and able to do some amazing things,” said Rod, the General Manager of Mount St. Louis.

Saturdays intense event saw 50 participants from different resorts throughout the area.

Snowboarders competed to collect points and from there, one will receive the crown of “Provincial Champion”.
