The doors of Assumption Church will be open once again, if only briefly.
The church, which has been close since 2014 due to much needed repairs, will be hosting an open house in celebration of the Feast of the Assumption.
The doors will open Sunday August 14 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday August 15 from 12-6 p.m.
Assumption Church was opened in 1845 and served as the principal worship site for the parish until it was closed in November 2014.
In April 2015 it was announced that a $10-million donation towards repairs never materialized.
