Assault with an unusual weapon leaves victim seriously injured
Windsor Police investigate an assault with a skateboard that seriously injured the victim on August 27th, 2016.
A 27-year-old man is in a Detroit hospital with serious injuries after an assault in Windsor.
It happened Saturday evening, August 27th, around 11:20 at 361 Ouellette Avenue, near University Avenue. Police say the victim was beaten with a skateboard. The man was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital with a brain injury. Police describe his injuries as serious but not life-threatening.
Two Windsor men, a 20-year-old and a 22-year-old are in police custody. Police are looking for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit at 255-6700, extension 4830 or Crime Stoppers.
