The Ontario Civilian Police Commission has dismissed the appeal by a former Windsor police officer.

Constable Dorothy Nesbeth lost her appeal. She was suspended with pay for more than four years.

On July 28, 2010, Nesbeth was stopped at the Ambassador Bridge. Customs officers seized a large amount of undeclared beer, wine and spirits.

She was found guilty of deceit in a Police Services Act Hearing last October.

In December, she was fired from the force.

But as soon as Nesbeth launched her appeal of the dismissal, she went back onto the Windsor police payroll, as stipulated in their contracts.
