An 89-year-old Amherstburg resident was arrested and charged after police say he threatened to attend town hall with a gun.

A town hall employee says a man called complaining about the town running a new storm drain through his property.

Amherstburg police say during the phone conversation, the man became upset and threatened the town employee that he was going to come to town hall with a gun.

Michael Kosyk, 89, was arrested and charged with one count of uttering threats.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.
