An Amherstburg councillor is feeling good about the work being done by the town’s audit and finance advisory committee.
The town was discovered to be more than $40 million in debt.
The committee recently brought forward a report outlining its accomplishments so far.
Committee member and councillor Leo Meloche feels the town is heading in the right direction in terms of having its debt under control.
Meloche says they are doing a better job of managing their finances, while also getting better at dealing with infrastructure gaps.
Meloche adds the next steps include looking at the operations of the Libro Centre.
