An alleged gunman, who was the subject of a nine-hour manhunt in Windsor on Wednesday, is facing 19 charges.

Around 12:30 a.m., Windsor police were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 2900 block of Grandview Boulevard.  Information was received that gun shots were heard and a vehicle heard leaving the area.  

The complainant called and advised that she observed a bullet hole  in her neighbours residence.  Officers arrived and spoke to the complainant and observed that the damage which appeared to be caused by a shotgun. 

Two vehicles directly in front of the residence sustained damage consistent with being hit by the discharge of a shotgun.  The complainant advised that the 29-year-old suspect made further threats toward a family member. 

Officers received information that the suspect may be in the area of Pillette and Wyandotte Street East.  While in the area officers heard shots fired and the suspect vehicle leaving the area. 

At approximately 2:30 a.m, officers performed a high risk vehicle stop on the stolen vehicle and placed two people under arrest and learned that one suspect was still outstanding. 

Information was received that the suspect was walking in the area of Arthur Road  and Ontario, carrying a long gun.  Officers say they located spent shotgun shells in the roadway and damaged overhead lights.

Police asked residents to stay inside and for citizens to avoid the area.  The School board was contacted and Brennan High School and Corpus Christi is closed for the day.  Pillette Road was shut down for a period of time while emergency service officers, K9, and patrol officers searched for the suspect. 

 At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers believed he was in a residence located in the 900 block of Pillette Road.  

Police evacuated neighbouring residents and attempted to make communication with the suspect male.  

Officers established communication and the suspect exited the residence and was placed under arrest at approximately 9:30 a.m., without further incident.  

The two suspects in the vehicle face charges of possession of stolen property.

Investigation also revealed that the 29-year-old suspect had two outstanding warrants. 

Richard Wallace, 29, from Windsor is charged with: discharge firearm with intent, threats to cause death, weapon dangerous to the public peace, possess a firearm knowingly not holding a licence, storage contrary to regulation, careless use of a firearm, six counts of possess firearm while prohibite, and seven counts of breach of probation.

The suspects in the reported stolen vehicle were also charged.

Jesaca Mitton, 21, from Windsor is charged with possession of stolen property over.

Joshua Rosevear, 27, from Windsor is charged with possession of stolen property over.
