The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is proposing to revoke the licence of a Windsor nightclub.

Mynt Nightclub was the location of an alleged sexual assault by Windsor Spitfire Ben Johnson against a 16-year-old female on March 18.

AGCO spokesperson Lisa Murray says the bar was issued an interim suspension Thursday pending a hearing to determine what will happen.

CTV News contacted Dan Scott, the lawyer hired by Mynt’s three owners. Scott says it was “human error” which could have led to underage drinkers let into the bar. He says it’s nearly impossible to detect fake IDs.

Murray says they can't sell any alcohol, effective immediately.

"The licensee permited these minors to consume alcohol without asking them to provide identification and their identification was not inspected before they were served alcohol," says Murray.
