A Taser had to be used to apprehend an alleged pajama wearing prowler in south Windsor early Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers received a call around 4 a.m. regarding a suspect stealing from vehicles in the 3000 block of Bruce Avenue. The suspect was described as standing 5’8” and wearing plaid pajamas.

Officer attended the area and observed the suspect peering into a residential window, that’s when the he noticed police and fled the scene on foot.  Officer gave chase but lost sight of him.

The search continued and at 4:25 a.m. the suspect was seen riding a bike in the 2700 block of Virginia Park. Police say the suspect attempted to flee officers again by peddling faster.

However, police say the man ditched the bike and attempted to elude officers by hopping a fence. That’s when a Taser was deployed, resulting in his arrest.

Dakota Poisson, 22, is charged with possession of stolen property, prowling at night and resisting arrest.
