A 32-year-old Windsor man, who is facing charges in connection with a shooting on Oak Street, made an appearance in court on Thursday.
Dia Hanan is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.
Alekesji Guzhavin, 30, of London was fatally shot on Oak Street on Dec. 23. It's been learned the deceased was facing criminal charges in connection with a drive-by shooting on Howard Avenue back in September.
Hanan had many supporters in court as he appeared by video. He could be seen smiling, waving and saying “I love you” to friends and family in the gallery.
His next court date is Jan.7 via video.
Windsor police are expected to release more details soon.
