A walk in the park turns criminal in LaSalle

A 21-year-old man was arrested by LaSalle police at Turtle Club Park Friday afternoon after he was seen allegedly carrying a knife and a pistol while walking through the park.
When police arrested him, they seized a BB pistol and a knife, and charged him criminally.
Police said there is no further threat to public safety.
