OPP have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the 2006 murder of 40-year-old Nancy Quick.

The Tecumseh resident was crossing Church Street in Emeryville on Feb. 23, 2006 when she was struck and killed by a mininvan that fled a a high rate of speed.

Police say the gold/tan Dodge Caravan had been stolen moments before from a residence in the 1100 block of King Louis Street.

It was recoverd 20 minutes later at the corner of King Louis and I.C. Roy Drive.

A lone male was observed walking eastbound on King Louis Street at a fast pace from the abandoned vehicle. He is described as white, average height and weight, with medium length dark hair and wearing a dark coloured coat.

OPP Det.-Insp. Dave Hillman said in a statement, “The OPP never closes its files on an unsolved homicide...We remain as committed today at catching Nancy’s killer as we were back in 2006. Our investigative team is confident that someone holds information that will be key to helping us solve this case for our victim and for her family and friends.”
