Chatham-Kent police have arrested 28 people and seized about $17,160 worth of drugs after a five-month long investigation.
Police say the investigation targeted individuals involved in trafficking illicit drugs specifically methamphetamine (speed) and fentanyl.
During the project, officers executed seven search warrants at various homes throughout Chatham-Kent.
Officers seized 52.2 grams of methamphetamine, 530 mg of Fentanyl, 35.75 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of cannabis, three cannabis plants, one gram of psilocybin. Police say the street value of drugs seized is estimated at $ 17,160. Officers also seized $6,970 in cash.
Officers have laid over 100 criminal offences related to the arrests.
