A 37-year-old Walpole Island woman was arrested after Chatham-Kent police were called for an impaired driving complaint.

Police got the call at 7 a.m. on Sunday. Officers intercepted the vehicle and investigated the driver.

The driver allegedly showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Police say brass knuckles were found during a search.

The woman was transported to police headquarters for breath testing.

The woman has been charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit and possession of a weapon.
