A 25-year-old Windsor woman pleaded guilty to manslaughter after running her car into two men back in 2014.

Deanna Ann Gamblin struck two men in a parking lot downtown on Aug. 3, 2014.

One man died and the other suffered minor injuries.

Gamblin was originally charged with murder and attempted murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter and impaired driving causing bodily harm.

Her lawyer John Getliffe expressed her remorse, saying his client has been very emotional throughout this process.

In court Wednesday afternoon, Gamblin shared her thoughts  saying "I deserve to spend the rest of my life in jail."

Getliffe says he is pleased with Wednesday’s outcome.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 15.
