Windsor police are looking for witnesses after a woman was knocked to the ground and had her purse stolen on Wednesday.

Investigators say the alleged incident happened aroun 3:25 p.m. on Tuscarora St. between Louis Ave. and Marentette Ave.

A 33-year-old woman told police she was walking east on Tuscarora when she heard someone running behind her, and when she turned to look she was knocked to the ground and dropperd her purse.

A male suspect then reportedly picked up the purse and ran south on Marentette.

Fortunately the victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male with an olive complexion, clean shaven, about 20 years old, 5'10" tall with a skinny build.

He was wearing a grey winter toque and a grey waist-length jacket.
