Windsor police are looking for a suspect after a woman was stabbed twice at a bus stop early Sunday.

Officers were called to Wyandotte Street and Bruce Avenue around 2 a.m.

Police say a 56-year-old Windsor woman was waiting at a bus stop when she struck up a conversation with a stranger.

But when the conversation turned into an argument, police say the man punched the woman then stabbed her twice in the back.

The woman is now in hospital with critical injuries, but is in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, 5'6 and 180 pounds with a mustache.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or crime stoppers.
